My MacBook stuck in a loop of ****!! Help!

some how my MacBook was locked from findmy.. and when I went to use the code icloud gave me, it said wrong password and went into a 60 min wait.. here’s the best part.. everything it gets to zero, it doesn’t give me the option to put anything in.. it just a days wrong password.. and cycles immediately to another 60 min.. I’ve been able to get to the firmware page padlock but the code I have won’t take... is there a way around all that, even if it means erasing it??

Locked Out Of 2012 Macbook Pro I have an old 2012 Macbook Pro that I have been locked out of for years that I am now re-attempting to access to remove documents from it. A few years ago, I turned on the device and the password I had always used to log in, simply did not work anymore. No many how many times I tried, it would not let me into my laptop. The issue is that FileVault is turned on, and the password does not work to decrypt FileVault either. I attempted to reset the password using Recovery Mode and I went to the option "my keyboard does not work when entering a password". It then tried to have me unlock FileVault using a password. When I enter a random password that I know is not correct, it simpy gives the message "password is incorrect". However, when I enter the password that I know for a fact is correct, a pop up appears and says "are you sure you want to disable FileVault" once I click YES, it then says the password does not work. So it is almost like the password is correct since it asks me if I am sure I want to decrypt it, but it doesn't fully process. I have also attempted to reset my password using my apple ID, but I always get the message "An error connecting to the Apple ID server" and I cannot get any further. I have taken this device to two different computer repair stores and have had no luck. I have a new device now, but all I want is to get into my old one to access old pictures and documents. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not finished set up need to reset password macbook pro I recently purchased the newer MacBook pro M2 chip, don't know what info needed to help with a solution for me, but I have always had the worst memory ever. Though I have written it down it didn't work and any variation of the password didn't work and I think I may have typed something wrong thinking I was typing what I had written down. At this point I already know I don't deserve to set eyes on apple products because I'm a serial password forgetter, but if anyone has any advice for me I would so appreciate it. I only partially started setting it up I wasn't able to get apple ID info set up because I was at work it got busy and when I finally got back to it well "access denied". She still has that new car smell still in the box. Anyway thanks for taking the time if there is even a solution for my carelessness.
