Error reconnecting hotspot in car (known in VW and Mazda)

Hello Community,

I have a problem with the HotSpot of my iPhone 11 Pro, X and 6s since updated to iOS 13 (even until to 13.1.2).

If I connect my Mazda 6 (model 2018) with the hotspot - which works fine - and then in a new ride by re-activating the HotSpot on the iPhone, want to have a new connection, it will not be restored automatically.

The Mazda demands at once for a new password, for the unchanged WLAN net (SSID and MAC addresses demonstrably identical). A connection to a Windows laptop, works without problems.

The same WLAN that was previously used (yes, the same SSID) is only grayed out and you have to reconnect, as if the car and the iPhone does not know each other.

I posted a video about the issue and the reproducible bug on YouTube.

Please correct this error.

Further, here is a german support thread for the same issue:

Thanks a lot for further assistance

Good morning,

since a few days (since I updated the OS) I have the exact same problem with iPhone XR and Mazda CX-5. After upgrading to OS13, pairing with Wifi no longer works. Continually asks for the password and still fails to connect to the phone (DHCP error) With an iPhone6 / OS12 it works perfectly. So the problem is the OS13 software. How can I report the problem to Apple?
