DLed Catalina a couple of days ago and now photos from Apple 'Photos' will not work in Aurora 2018 and I also cannot move photos from Photos to Luminar 3. Any ideas will be appreciated.

If you log into your Skylum account, you will see, that none of the Skylum photo editing extensions (Luminar 3, Aurora 2019, Luminar Flex, Photolemur) can currently work well with Photos 5.0 on Mojave.
The recommended Fix is to launch Luminar 3 with Image > Edit in Luminar 3.
This is currently the only way how I can use Luminar at all under Catalina.
It is not a Catalina Problem. The Skylum Team needs to get their apps ready for Catalina. I kept one Mac running Mojave, so I can still work with the applications, that cannot yet be updated for compatibility with Photos 5.0 and Catalina.

I am having the same issue!!! I have over 600 photos to develop and get out to people, but I can't use Luminar with your new Catalina!!!!! Every photo I develop or edit won't save. I get a message that it's not available and can't save & to please try later!!! I am now going to delete the Catalina OS from my MacBook so I can use finish my photos for customers. This is very unprofessional to release such an unstable OS. I can't use Affinity photo to develop any photos either. Apple you have paralyzed my business in the height of Senior photos, and fall football photos. If anyone has any other suggestions before I downgrade back to Mojave please let me know. Thank you
its Disappointing I have been running Skylum apps and Affinity photo apps from within photos. I process way too many photos to mess around with doing one picture at a time. There are way too many other issues with this new OS I’m done with it. In the process of down grading back to Mojave.
Make sure you are using the latest version of both third-party programs.
Luminar 3 is at version 3.1.3, and Luminar 4 is "coming soon".
Aurora HDR 2019 1.0.0 is out.
