Can i use a dell d6000 docking station on my macbook? I can't seem to find a drive for it in dell.

The Dell D6000 docking station works, and works on Catalina.

Updating to Dell D6000 firmware to A03 and using the DisplayLink 5.2.1 Beta 3 drivers (https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/macos) worked for me - but updating the firmware was the real fix. It looked like mine was never updated.

Depending on the build year version of MacBook (and if correctly identified

as one this ASC discussions area covers) you may choose to look into some

modern docking stations; with port options, such as those examples where

'owc macsales - docks' has shown on their site. These have been updated to

include later types of port connections; some offer 'power through' too.

I'd doubt there is lots of information about yeah or nay. I'd try it in a short controlled environment. The first sign of incompatibility it would become disconnected thereafter.

dock blocking boot up especially on externals

copy issues

shutdown issues
