LibreOffice cannot be opened.

Discovered my copy of LibreOffice is prohibited from opening by Apple now. Been using this for years as it is much better than Apple's office software. Downloaded a new copy via Safari with no issues but it does not open no matter what.

As leroydouglas posted, right/control click on it's icon and choose "Open" from the contextual menu that opens.

Have Gatekeper turned off is no t recommended—this is part of the Macs anti-malware softwaRE.


Control click is not equal to the option or command key.


You will have to go back to Applications folder and again hold the control key>Open
