Apple ID Settings

Don't know if this is related to a Bug in Catalina or a Setting is Wrong.

Catalina keeps requesting my Apple ID password, iCloud Password, and Login Password.

I enter, it IS accepted, the messages go away but within 15 minutes, it is requesting them again!

Password for Apple ID only works in some places. I recently changed the password for my Apple ID. I changed the password because of this problem. When I try and login to the forums for example (Safari running Monterey), I get a prompt asking if I want to sign in to idmsa.apple.com with my Apple ID. I click 'Continue with password' using my new password which always fails (using copy/paste, but also failed when I manually typed the password). If I click 'Use a different Apple ID' and manually enter my Apple ID and password I'm able to login. That's how I logged in here. I'm having the same login trouble on another Mac I've don't a factory reset on where I'm prompted for my Apple ID during the setup (Mac running Catalina). I'm wondering if something hasn't synced, but otherwise don't know why this is happening. Thanks

Apple ID Not Accept In Pop Up Box I have exactly the same problem as Gene Suber Apple ID Not Accept In Pop Up Box - Apple Community so I copy below the content of his post (Feb 28, 2021) since there was no answer to his question. When I go to my iCloud account, or even this site and go to sign in, I get the message from Apple ID, "Do you want to sign in to idmsa.apple.com with your Apple ID "name@gmail.com." The ID is the correct one. Under that is "Continue with Password." When clicked, a popup box opens that says "Enter the password for the user "Gene Surber" to continue. When I enter my password, the box shakes and is not accepted. When I click on "Use a different Apple ID" then it takes me to the same Apple ID that is saved, and accepts my password (which is also saved). Clearly this is not a different account. I'm not sure what is going on here, but I wold prefer to just be able to log on to iCloud and other Apple things without this happening. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible I have two passwords for the same account? I don't want to change the password to "correct" the problem if I don't have to as then I will have to sign out of everything and update everything. I'd just like to know what is going on and if there is a way to fix it. I must add that, in KeyChain Access.app, I deleted all the items containing "appleid" with no visible effect.

cannot access apple id Both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro repeatedly ask for my password for one of my apple id. However, when I enter the password the process stops, the dialogue boxes go blank, and the timer spins. My apple id is a Gmail account. I am currently accessing through a non-Gmail apple id account. This seems like a hack or malware 'cause it affects both computers. I have not yet seen a request for an apple id password on my iPhone.

Its a bug and its very annoying - I have sorted it on my desktop but mac book its still there still happens every day and I just can't get rid of it - its to do with keychain - have tried everything but honestly does not seem to cause any issues by just ignoring it - hopefully it will be sorted soon. Pretty obvious error that they should have spotted early doors.

Hello, I have the same problem but the trick appleid logout/login don't work after the reboot of my 2 Macs.

Any solution?

I have the same problem. iCloud keeps logging me off, then requesting I log in again. Even when in the middle of editing a document. It seems to be a Catalina problem.
