after Catalina update on MacBook Pro, my watch doesn't Auto Unlock the MAC

One other thing to try... If you happen to have you Mac connected via Ethernet AND Wifi, unplug the Ethernet and then check "Use your Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac". Give it a try by Locking the screen (Apple > Lock Screen). It should unlock your Mac. If it does, I believe you can then plug Ethernet back in (so far, I have and it works).

My 2018 MBP was unlocking with my watch fine.

Post-Catalina upgrade, the option is gone from the security and privacy screen.

I am using 2FA, Apple Watch is v6 latest, and MacOS is fully up to date.

Checking system, WiFi, it show watch unlock is supported.

(And this was working fine up until a week ago)

Any help ?

I am having the exact same problem since I updated to Catalina yesterday on my MacBook Air. I have tried turning on through the system preferences, the Allow your Apple Watch to unlock you Mac option is checked. It doesn't work.

I am on Catalina 10.15.1 and the option is there still but it doesn't work. I am also up to date on the Apple Watch OS. Thought that might be the problem. Interesting that the option is "missing" in 10.15.2. Makes me wonder if Apple knows they've broken it and are trying the fix it by going back to the drawing board in a stealth manner. That's the only reason I can imagine that the feature has seemingly disappeared.

Ok, this is weird. Today, I noticed that the option is back and MBP can be unlocked with my phone. Still at 10.15.2...not sure what happened in the last few days that the option would reappear in the system preferences menu.

Same as my situation! That option is disappeared from the system preferences right after upgrading to Catalina 10.15.2!!! :(
