Mail being forwarded is blank since iPadOS update

When forwarding email in the default mail app the original message body of the email being forwarded is not carried over.

Can still type an email, but the forwarded contents is not there.

Was working fine prior to iPadOS update, have also updated to 13.1.2 and problem still exists.

Have tried disable/re-enable of email sync in passwords & accounts, removing and re-adding whole account and deleting and reinstalling the Mail app all to no avail. Also tried a soft reset without any luck either.

This is for two staff members using on-prem Exchange accounts via ActiveSync

iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, Cellular

iOS 13.2.3 now out with the following fix listed:

Resolves issues that may prevent Mail from fetching new messages, and fail to include and quote original message content in Exchange accounts

All, I was working on recently updated iPhone X and the same thing happened and I think I found an indirect solution.

Go to: "Setting > Mail > Include Attachments with Replies"

Select the "Always" option.

I just tested this and it seems to work. Forwarded messages now include all prior content. While this should be about replies and not forwarding, it seems to work for forwarded messages. Hope it works for everyone!

Yes, we've moved our staff over to using the Outlook app for the time being as the blank forwards and draft issues have just made the application too unreliable.

This is an issue, I am not sure who from Apple is reading this but I suggest everyone who has this issue and is still on warranty call and create a case

i have exactly the same problem. I forward an email as per normal, but none of the email trail apart from the first few lines come across. This is really frustrating and I agree with everyone else that I think it has happened following the last iOS “upgrade”. For me this is critical and I am now having to use the Outlook client to overcome what is obviously a know bug. When is going to be fixed please !!!???

I'm an IT pro of 35 years. This is happening to most of my clients (numbering in the 100s) using various exchange and hosted exchange servers. BUG CITY Apple! Mail is nearly useless in it's current state. Enabling attachments on all replies, and complete thread suggestions do not work.

As of iOS 13.3 iPadOS 13.3 I am still seeing instances of this occurring with my users.

We are running Exchange 2010 if that makes a difference.

Issue is highly intermittent, however email bodies are still being dropped if they are forwarded or replied to.

I had the same issue on a fully ios upgraded iPhone X. Deleted and re-installed exchange account and still there.

btw: deleting and reinstalling the exchange account DID fix the problem of having to delete every email twice (or more) to get it to delete.

I am also experiencing this problem when I forward emails. Please fix it ASAP. It is also showing emails being sent twice in sent box.

Experiencing same issue. Removed exchange account and added back. Purchased new iphone x pro and restored from icloud. Updated from 13.1 to 13.2. Issue persists.
