Problem connecting Ipad

Hello,

I have recently downloaded macos catalina and I have been trying to connect my ipad to my mac. I have followed all the steps from apple themselves but it's never worked. Do you have any solutions ?

I have already tried everything proposed on line...

Which exact version of iPad do you have and which version of iOS is it running? If you have already "tried everything" I'm not sure we can add much more for you.

I just verified that my 2018 Mac mini, running macOS Catalina, can send its display to my 1st gen 9.7" iPad Pro which is running iPadOS 13.1.2 without any issues. I do not use a cable between these devices, but have verified that Bluetooth needs to be enabled on both for this to work properly.

Sorry, just so I understand, are you saying that by restarting the Finder app and shutting down both devices, this resolved it for you ... and are looking for any other solutions? Are that it didn't work at all even after doing those steps?

If it's the latter, do you have any other Bluetooth devices (keyboard, mouse, etc.) connected to your notebook? If so, these may be interfering with the Bluetooth connection between your notebook and the iPad. Finally, are you trying to do this with a MacBook Pro? If so, is it a Mid 2016 model or later?
