Hello,

Try using a soft bristle toothbrush to clear out any potential debris in iPad’s microphone port.

You can also try this for troubleshooting, If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't working - Apple Support

Microphone port "top center" had debris causing the problem. Was able removing with a strand of small gauged speaker wire on hand now working perfect.
