We MUST have a SMS text capability and we don't have it now!

We MUST have a SMS text capability! Now I can't send SMS and Apple notifications are not reaching me-- my iPhone dings but if a message it disappears instantly, and there's no message in Messages. I couldn't sign in to iCloud because it sends a notification which does not appear on either my Mac (Mohave) or my iPhone (13.1.2). Finally did succeed in you sending my iPhone a text.

You kids keep fooling around with us and making Mac and iOS UNUSABLE!

Do I have to buy a PC and an Android phone to be able to use SMS text again!

It's working well on all my Macs and iPhones, so if something isn't working for you perhaps there is something you may have overlooked. It could involve your wireless carrier, among other possibilities.

You are only addressing your fellow international users. Apple leadership and product teams do not participate in these Google archived communities. For the last week, I have been exchanging text messages between the U.S. and Ireland via macOS Mojave's Message utility.
