Will Pillars of Eternity 2, Deadfire run on Catalina

Steam says it is not compatible with the new OS but the Mac app store says it will.

macOS Catalina & Angry Birds compatibility? My retired wife has a rather new iMac (2018), upgraded from an early 2009. One of her favorite pastime fun games for her is Angry Birds, all the editions. Currently the iMac is on Majave macOS 10.14.6. I wanted to update to macOS Catalina. But, running the compatibility program, it says these Angry Bird programs will no longer work (has anyone tried?), which would be devastating for her. I read that Catalina is strictly 64-bit, and Angry Birds is stuck on 32-bit. On her last iMac Early 2009 I had Parallels and Windows installed. I really don't want to do that on this iMac. Is there any other solution? Or just keep using Majave?

Are there different versions of Parellels? I use a late 2013 Imac 27 on Catalina 10.15.7 I want to install a version of Parallels that will run on Cat 10.15.7, and work with Windows 10. Are there different versions available, or does the latest version always work? I run a MMORPG game (Elder Scrolls Online, or ESO), Been playing for years, but the next Expansion of the Game won't run on Catalina. My options are to either 1: Downgrade to a previous OS (sounds like it takes a complete wipe to reinstall an earlier system, or 2: Install a version of Parallels, and run the windows version of ESO on Windows 10 (recommended). I use this Late 2013 27" iMac, because at the time, it had the fastest video system. Any Advise? ("Get a new life" will not be considered :) ) Thanks for any Info! Jim

It sounds like you had questions an App Store app, and I want to help.

I can confirm that the App Store page shows 64-bit compatibility as seen below:

It's possible that the version you're seeing on Steam has not been upgraded for 64-bit, as many apps began as 32-bit and received an upgrade.
