im trying to sell phone need to remove my stuff or reset it before I do so. I went into iCloud and removed my account what else do I need to do?

You did not say it was lost, you said you were trying to sell it. If you lost the iPhone and removed it from iCloud, then the device can no longer be tracked, and anyone can restore it and use it themselves.
Well if I said I was selling it I apologize that’s not what I meant I lost it or it was stolen from where we were in Atlanta last well about two weeks ago and I’ve been talking to so many people out I may have worded it wrong but I am even the minute that I lost it and got on iCloud it still wouldn’t even tell me my last location and I used it all day that day now when I go on iCloud it tells me that it’s not on there but I can go onto my Apple ID and it’ll show me all three devices but yesterday I received for messages saying that my they were sending me a code for my Apple ID and I didn’t request those and I’m just trying to locate it and I don’t know what to do I did end it with my phone service though but I never took it out I have iCloud
If it was two weeks ago, then I would say the battery is probably dead, and it is not connected to any wi-fi, so you cannot track it. It will only hold location for 24 hours, unless it was immediately powered off. Was there a passcode on the device. Was it locked when you lost it? I would try putting it into Lost mode unless you already have to ensure that it is locked. Don't respond to any text messages saying the device was found and a link for you to sign into your account, because those are the thief attempting to get your account info to remove Find My iPad from the device so it can be restored.
