How to go full screen from floating app on ipados?

In iOS 12 you could just pull up on the top tab, which made sense because that’s how Windows has done it for longer than Apple, I think.

But they changed it for some stupid reason in iPadOS. Anyone know to what?

If you mean an app from slide over, pull down on the handle a little bit and then slide the app to the right until it becomes separated from the app underneath and let go. You will see it expand and the vertical bar that separates the two open apps will appear. Drag that handle to open the app all the way on the screen.

OK. I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. That is what I thought that you meant. I stand by what I suggested earlier.

With an app in Slide Over (that’s is what that is called), pull down on the handle at the top until you can move the app, slide the app over to the right until you see the black screen background and then let go of the handle to get the app into Side By Side View. From there, pull the vertical handle all the way to the left to get that app into full screen.
