Until I updated to iOS 13.1.2 I was able to cast from Netflix, Prime Video and NowTV apps to my Chromecast. Now the cast symbol has vanished on all three apps, and both my iPad Pro and iPhone XR seem to have both lost the ability to cast - and forgotten they were ever connected to the Chromecast.
(I’ve already talked to Chromecast support, but since my partner’s Android phone casts fine, it’s clearly an iOS issue).

Unfortunately I’ve already tried all the troubleshooting for the apps themselves and the Chromecast. Because it’s affecting all the apps, and only since the iOS 13.1.2 update, I definitely think it’s an iOS issue.
It was an absolute nightmare to even get my iPhone and iPad to connect to the Chromecast to begin with (it refused to set up, so we had to set it up on my partner’s Android phone) so I’m pretty frustrated it’s not working anymore.
The Chromecast itself (as well as all the apps) are working perfectly apart from this issue. My partner can cast from Android with no issue.
I’ve updated my iPhone (but not iPad) to iOS 13.1.3 and that hasn’t helped. I’m wondering if Apple haven’t even realised it’s an issue yet.
I just want my cast icon back!

Having exactly the same issue whereby all the cast icons have disappeared from my apps.
definitely linked to iOS 13, as casting works fine from my iPad which is too old to take iOS.
Any closer to finding a solution?

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand the Cast icon is missing when trying to use some of your apps with Chromecast on your iPad and iPhone.
Netflix suggests to ensure your devices are connected to the same network as your Chromecast, and to reboot your Chromecast, as outlined in their help article: The Cast icon is missing when I try to watch Netflix on my Chromecast - Netflix
I suggest reaching out to the app developers for the apps which you're unable to see the Cast icon for additional assistance: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

Unfortunately no, it’s still not solved. I updated to iOS 13.2 but nope, no luck. Frustratingly I updated my iPad before I realised the issue, so I can’t cast from either!
It’s ridiculous that I have to now rely on my partner’s Android phone to cast anything. Apple seem to just claim it must be all the apps not working at once. I mean that’s clearly ridiculous. They all worked fine before iOS 13.1.2
This is crap, the same has occurred to me..
After rebooting and doing all from help forums the cast icon is not there...
Each time there’s an update I only lost the YouTube casting , but with some mucking around it always came back..
To lose the icon from every app that could cast, definitely their updates & sorry I can’t help you either !
Same problem. Fixed when I downloaded 13.2.2.
Strange they lost it for a while.
I also lost my Chromecast button. I am downloading new OS update now and crossing my fingers. Fortunately I have an old iPhone 5C that still works with Chromecast.
Anyone else’s cast icon/button disappeared since iOS 13.1.2 update?
