Attaching files in emails on ipad

Hi there

Can somebody please tell me how I attach a file into my email after I have written it because all day I have been writing emails but then remembered I need to attach the file first by sending it over from pages or numbers. Is there any way I can attach this to an email after I have written it?

Thanks

Ash

It's really bothering me after knowing the fact that we can't attach docs, Excel, PPT or AR files with mail. With great respect I shifted myself from Android to Apple recently and purchased ipad air, my main purpose of purchasing the gadget is to replay and write mails quickly, but it's not serving my purpose now, I request Apple to include attachment feature immediately.

Its really frustrating to see that adding any attachment (other that any image photo or greeting) is not possible thought any Apple handheld device's Mail app. Probably it didn't occur to the Apple geniuses that business replies might require to attach other data too!!!!

But then Apple legacy is their state of the art, super aesthetic Hardware. But some softwares features are yet premitive in usage, although they talk well to their hardware.

Anyways, I hope they add this feature by iOS 25.0 !

Just joined and saw this. I have trouble with ipads and iphones having been in IT and used to Windows and an HTC phone, both of which allowed a lot of control. Apple seems to restrict so much. Wife just got an ipad mini - she has a full size one for work - and both get full really quickly and video size on the mini can be changed only from 1080 to 720 hd.

To solve the running out of space I bought her a ravpower filehub plus, under £40 which is a wifi hub with an sd card and usb stick slot. Plug them in and load the app and transfer all your pics and videos. Absolute treasure for the non-tech older generation and impatient old codgers like me. They can stay on the sd or stick and/or you can then load them onto your pc/laptop. The joy is that the hub is so small you can take it with you and always have access to your vids and pics. I'm sure there are other versions by now too. I am still surfing for the answer to the file size which is too big to email - the full size ipad used to take videos that could be sent by email. The mini vids are enormous and wont go. Ridiculous given the internal storage size of the ipad mini. Hope you solved it by now -- just noticed it was 6 years ago. It happens at my age !
