All apple devices keep saying Update Apple ID Settings

I updated my Late 2015 iMac to Catalina and wanted to try Sidecar. It was not appearing and after some research I read something about 2FA needed to be enabled for it to work. I enabled it and now my Mac, iPad, and iPhone and possible more devices are telling me to "Update Apple ID Settings". I have entered my Password multiple times but it won't go away. I have also signed out and back in to iCloud but no avail. What do I need to do to fix it? I have attached an image with personal information blurred out.

Hello Dudefoxlive,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with the repeated prompts for Update Apple ID Settings. I will be happy to check this out with you.

1. Please verify all devices signed in with the same Apple ID are updated to the to the latest version of macOS, iOS, tvOS, or watchOS.

2. It may take the system 24 hours for everything to sync. Please verify at least 24 hours have passed since you updated your Apple ID settings once again after your device updates.

3. Since this is occurring on your iMac, try updating the Apple ID settings while boot into safe mode. Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

4. Remove Inactive Devices from Apple ID Website using these steps:

  • In the "Devices" section, identify which devices listed are no longer actively in use.

  • Click the title of each device no longer in use, and remove it from your account.

  • Test if the issue is still occurring.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
