The annoying java prompts in Mac OS Catalina - To use the “java” command-line tool you need to install a JDK.

Download Java for OS X 2017-001 - https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_SG

This version does not work for the Mac OS Catalina, and it cannot be installed. Every time I open a terminal window, the prompts appears.

High Sierra is looking for JDK on login I just got around to upgrading to 10.13.6 High Sierra. Since I upgraded something is trying to run java when I log in and about every hour thereafter, popping an annoying "to use the java command-line too you need to install a JDK" dialog box I need to clear. I've deleted or disabled all login items, extensions, and my .login/.profile/.bashrc. I don't see anything in console messages when I search for "jdk" or "java". Every app seems to be fine, so I see no need to actually install a JDK. Any ideas? Is more verbose logging possible? I could probably fix this by disabling SIP and replacing the java command with /bin/false or something, but I don't want to that except as a last resort.

I am getting pop-ups saying this: "To use the 'java' Command-line tool, you need to install a JDK." I read the article suggesting that I install the "latest" version of Java. By following the links provided, I obtained a Java install package, but when I tried to install it, I was informed that a newer version of Java was already install, so the version I had just downloaded cannot be installed. I am on MacOS 10.15.5 How do I get rid of this extremely annoying pop-up? If I follow the link in the pop-up to attempt to fix it, I am taken to a Google Chrome page telling me how to deal with Adobe Flash player. There is no explanation for the relationship between Adobe Flash Player and Java, but I guess it means that Adobe Flash Player requires the JDK to run. Ideas?

Of course, I have installed the newest version of java package
