iTunes Equalizer

Hello, does the iTunes equalizer on PC change the sound signature across my computer? For example, if I add the base booster setting on iTunes, would my youtube videos and other applications have more base too? Thanks!

Play some youtube song and you'll see how apple lower down the sound quality. Because mac doesn't have an equalizer. Why apple doesn't have a built in sound equalizer? Itunes has it, so, the main purpose of not having a built in equalizer to make the illusion that itunes sound better? Shame.

iTunes Equalizer still doesn't work with Sonos One Has Apple taken any action on this issue yet? When playing iTunes music to my Sonos One, the equalizer doesn't work at all. It works fine if you're using your Mac's speakers, just not to external ones. It was reported over ten months ago - still no fix????

itunes changes recorded levels of wav file created in Audacity iTunes version 12.6.2.20. Audacity version 2.3.3 iMac o/s 10.9.4 The first time I listen to playback of a wav file (16, 24 or 32 bit) 44100 hertz or even export an mp3 audio file recorded in Audacity (speech with music underscore), the playback quality in iTunes is exactly the same as how it was recorded, mixed and rendered in Audacity. But the 2nd time, and every time after that, that the same wav or mp3 file is played back in iTunes, the levels are significantly boosted and the recording sounds like garbage. My iTunes EQ is always set to "None" and the iTunes volume slider is at maximum using iMac's built in speakers. The peak mixed recording db level according to Audacity playback meter is only at around minus 10 db.

I see that you're wondering if the equalizer in iTunes affects all of the sound on your PC, and I'm glad to help.

Adjust the sound quality in iTunes on PC -- It only affects the music played through the iTunes app on your PC.
