Series 5 - Treadmill While Holding Rails?

I have not received my watch yet.

I'm curious if my steps will be counted while holding the handrails on my treadmill? (someone on a AW5 FB page said yes...) I don't see how it could.

Right now, I put my Fitbit Charge 3 in my pocket when using the treadmill.

Thanks for your replies.

Main differences that I know of

Indoor vs Outdoor...indoor does not use the GPS whereas outdoor does

Walk vs Run ....run has auto pause on both indoor and outdoor and walk does not

Different metrics for run vs walk on both

Have a look at the metrics

iPhone>My Watch>Workout>Workout View>Multiple Metric

Have a look at all the workout types and you can see the metrics that you have.

You can not select all per workout as the watch will only display a few ( I think it is 5)

but the app will collect all this data though.
