Profile picture missing in Screen Time

Has anyone else noticed this too? Same size profile picture appears just fine in Apple ID section but no matter what I did I couldn't get it to show up in Screen Time section. This hasn't changed after yesterday's supplemental update either.

I just found the solution. I activated the family sharing function and the picture appeared as it should.

But as soon you deactivate it, the picture is back in blank again. I guess apple thought that everyone might have this family sharing feature turned on. The good thing is that you can add none of your family, so it'll be as if the feature was turned off.

Hi there, urbncwby76.

I see that the photo you're using for your Apple ID doesn't show up when you check Screen Time on your Mac, and I'm glad to help.

Change a user’s picture on Mac -- Change your own user photo but simply selecting the photo in System Preferences next to your Apple ID information. Once it's changed, see if it's also showing in Screen Time. If it is, change it back and test.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- If the photo didn't show up in Screen Time when you changed it, restart your Mac in safe mode and see if the photo shows in Screen Time. If everything works as expected while in safe mode, reboot normally and test again in your own user account. If not, continue to "How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac" below.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac -- If the issue is also happening in safe mode, use this article to create and test a new administrative user account. This will demonstrate if the issue is isolated to your account, or if it's system wide. You'll need to sign into your Apple ID in the System Preferences of this new user profile to test.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!

Hi Alex

Went through all 3 of your suggestions.

Changed my user picture -- Apple ID and user pic changed but Screen Time picture is still blank.

Used safe mode... it changed nothing. Screen Time picture is still blank.

Added a brand new account and logged in with that one. Screen Time picture was still blank.

So I guess it's a system wide issue in this case. I will either have to do a full reinstall or wait for Apple to patch it.
