Catalina & Time Machine back ups are extremely slow!!?

I know this happens during a major OS upgrade. Typically the first back up & maybe a day or 2 later Time Machine is super slow sometimes even getting stuck during "Preparing to Back up" but it's been almost 2 weeks now since the upgrade & my back ups are taking basically a full day for just ONE back up?? Sometimes when the back up is only 10mb then it takes only a 1/2 a day but anything over 25mb forget it, its' going to be until the next morning. Or sits in "Calculating time remaining" for 6-8hrs??

I've been scouring through searches & it doesn't seem like this is a major issue this upgrade around. Guess I'm the only one.

Anyone going through the same issue & is there any solutions yet?
