Stickies will not allow a default font

Stickies does not allow a default format. For each stickies, I need to reenter the font. Anyone have a solution. I am running Catalina on the newest iMac. Alfred

FWIW, apparently "Stickies Menu....Window.... Use as Default" does not work. All "Use as Default" does is save the size and color of the note. What does work is, click inside a note with the format you want, select "Copy Style ⌥⌘C" from the Font menu, or use the keyboard shortcut, then create a new note, then choose Paste Style ⌥⌘V" from the Font menu, or use the keyboard shortcut.

Hi Joseph_S.,

Yes, I've been using Stickies that way for the last several years and it has worked as expected (contrary to MontecitoMac's comment below). I upgraded to Catalina this morning and now a) it's forgotten my default and b) when I set the default again it doesn't take. Can you confirm this ever works on Catalina? Thanks much.
