Apple ID Verification Code Scam?

I received 3 texts within a span of 10 minutes from 819-61 providing me with a different Apple ID verification code each time; however, I had definitely not requested one at all. 9 minutes after the last text, I declined a call from 1-866-275-3866. While on hold with Apple Support to check on the text issue, I reverse searched the number online and, low and behold, there was a thread attached in the search regarding a person receiving the SAME texts and calls. The response said it was more than likely a scammer, but I definitely advise you to BEWARE and call Apple to know you are speaking to THEM before doing anything!!!! (Will was helpful and kind!)
