kindle for older ipads

I just purchased refurbished ipad 4th generation and cannot download the amazon kindle app because I'm unable to download ios 11.0. The oldest ios I'm able to have is 10.3.3. How can I get an "older" Kindle app for my ipad?

How can I get the kindle app for ios 9 on an older ipad? There was a thread in 2018 about how to do this, older iTunes allowed you to choose the version, including older ones, to download, but it doesn't seem possible. Any other options?

iPad Mini v. 1 Kindle App I purchased an old iPad mini to take on a trip and fill with Kindle books to read. The refurbished mini arrived today but I cannot load the current version of the Kindle app onto it. I tried going to the App store to see Purchased Apps to download that way, but it appears the current version of Kindle is not compatible with the iPad running IOS 9. If anyone knows where I can find and download an old version of the Mac Kindle reader, I would so appreciate it. Any suggestions appreciated!!

my ipad says my software is up to date but it won't let me download certain apps, what can I do? I ordered a new to me ipad that I didn't realize was older than my original one. It's iOS is 9.3.5 and it won't let me download the kindle app. The whole reason I got the ipad was to get the kindle app so I could read without my ipad dying halfway through a book. How can I update to a newer iOS on this older model so I can get the one single app I want?

Do you own a real, full featured computer you can install Apple iTunes on?
