Unable to stop "navlibx" will damage your computer pop up

For my PhD program, I have to have Symantec endpoint protection up and running. Since I have updated to Catalina, I am unable to stop the pop ups. From what I can gather, I have to uninstall it to solve the problem. This is not an option. I have heard there is a newer version that does not have this problem, but I am not sure I can get it. Please help! Thanks

It is not malware... its from norton. The solution for me was to uninstall endpoint protection (had to use a special program from norton to do it) and then clean instal the latest version. I originally thought the latest version was not available through my university, but I found that it was. Problem solved.
