iTunes downloads waiting

i just purchased a film in iTunes, but it won’t download. I went to downloads and there’s 5 songs ‘waiting’ I can’t remove them, delete them or download them, so can’t download film. How do I get rid of them please. I have signed out and restarted Apple ITunes but no luck?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand some downloads are stuck on 'Waiting' which is preventing downloads of another item. I'll do what I can.

Here are some steps that can help:

Restart the device you're using.
Use another network (Wi-Fi or cellular) or check the settings of your current network: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
If you're on a Mac or Windows, check for available downloads from Account > Check for Available Downloads.
