Mac mini 2018/Logitech K750 woes

I just setup my new mini and I'm having sporadic issues with my K750 keyboard using the little Logitech USB dongle. The keyboard will go completely unresponsive for a few minutes and then spring back into life. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I did have a couple of USB3 HDDs plugged in with the cables passing near the Logitech USB adapter. One USB 3 drive is not plugged into a USB3 hub with the cable tucked neatly away and my keyboard works perfectly.

Is there a USB 3.0 drive near the keyboard?

If so, try moving the USB 3.0 drive away from the Keyboard.

Is the keyboard dongle plugged in next to a USB 3.0 drive cable?

If so, try moving the dongle to an adjacent port or putting it on a USB extension cable.
