Apple Watch won’t sign into Apple ID

My Apple Watch simply wont sign into my account. The account I want is listed and asks for my passcode. So I put in the correct passcode and it loads for a maybe 10-15 seconds. Whilst it’s doing this the sign in button is greyed out. Then after ten or so seconds it turns orange again and does nothing else. The loading wheel goes away and it just sits there with no messages at all. Very confused as it’s the correct password everything seems to be going great until the signing in button becomes orange again and the load wheel goes away. Anyone got any ideas? Can’t figure it out for the life of me.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you are not able to sign in to your Apple ID on your Apple Watch. I would be happy to help point you towards a resolution.


Using the same Apple ID you want to sign in on the Apple Watch with, let's check if you're able to download content from the iTunes Store or App Store on your iPhone. If you're not able to, what happens when you try? If you encounter an error, what does it say?


If you're able to download content on the iPhone using the same Apple ID, try the steps below next. Test if you can sign in to your Apple ID on the Apple Watch after each step. Keep us posted on the results.


Update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest iOS and WatchOS:



Restart both the iPhone and Apple Watch:



Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network:
