Why is the ECG app not available in Australia when it's available in so many other countries? I bought the watch as I have been diagnosed with A Fib and need a way to monitor. This was they key reason I purchased. To find it then not available is so very disappointing.

To be accurate, Apple hasn't even applied for the Apple Watch to be appropriately registered, so the ball is very much in Apple's court at the moment.

Apple isn't allowed to enable such feature without the government's permeation.
But watch are capable of it and you just need to enable the feature. Once it's enabled, you can use it no matter where you go.
You can google how to enable it ;)
Good to know, however still think Apple needs to be clearer before purchase.
Come on Aussie Govt. pull your finger out already and get it approved!
It's not available in australia because it has not been approved yet by your government medical department,apple has no control over this it's down to each countries government to approve the ECG because it is classed as a medical instrument.
