Welcome. See if it will start while booted in Safe Mode.
Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
Problem solved (sort of). I use Apple Accessibility On Screen Keyboard and Spotify won't open if the keyboard is open. Close it and Spotify will open. After Spotify opens I can open the Accessibility keyboard. A member of Spotify Community suggested this work around...
Thanks - I have contacted Spotify, removed and downloaded their latest app - while following their instructions- they suggested I contact Apple.....I don’t believe I am alone with this problem..
Thanks- Spotify is listed and enabled.....
You're welcome. Well Apple didn't write Spotify so I'm guessing your best bet is to wait for someone else that may have had the same issue to reply. As I mentioned, I have Spotify installed on four Macs running Catalina without a problem.
What happens when you try? Also, check System Preferences > Security & Privcy > Privacy > Files and Folders and check to see if Spotify is listed and enabled.
Works fine here. Try installing the current version, 1.1.17.543.geb9254e9
.
Thanks - I have already updated to the most current version...After completely removing the older version....
Thanks- I opened in Safe Mode - Spotify still wouldn’t open
You're welcome. The only thing I can suggest is reinstalling Spotify or contact Spotify support. It works for me on several Macs running Catalina.
