When I try to download the find my iPhone app. It says “this app requires specific features not available on this device.” I have an iPhone XR. Is there a way to download the app.

I don't think you understand. The App is already on your phone. Find my iPhone app is no longer on any iPhone with iOS 13. It has been combined with Find my Friends and CAN'T be removed from your phone. It's either where you had Find my iPhone previously or in a folder called Extra's or Utilities and looks like the photo I posted.

The app has been redesigned, renamed to Find My, is already on your phone, and may be found in the Extras folder.
Thank you for the information. What I am trying to do is see my new airpods on a find my map. When I go to find my, only my phone and watch are listed. My airpods do not show up
Have they been paired with your iPhone? If they are missing, how long ago did they disappear?
they are not missing. Just wanted to make sure that if they do get lost I would be able to find them. Yes they are paired to my phone
