So I lost my airpods, they fell out of my pocket. My question is, if someone finds them before me and tries to use them, will it update me with the new location if they are used?

I know where they are, they’re at my school. But what I want to know is, say that someone gets to them before me, I want to know that if they use them will I still be able to track them. Like will I be updated on a new location if they are moved or will I be able to see the new location. The photo shows where they are now, but like if someone uses them in a different place, can I still see that and be able to go get them?
