Unable to login after Mac OS Catalina update

Hello.

I am having the same problem as others mention in the Macbook Pro pages.....

After the MacOS Catalin update, It says I am using the wrong password when trying to login.


So I tried to reset the password by following the instruction to hard-shutdown, press start button to get into recovery mode. On this page that comes up it tells me to reset the password for all users in the machine, yet in the field where all the user names should be listed, there is nothing, and it will not allow any input, only cancel, This just sends me back to the log on page (showing my login name) but still it refuses my password.


I assume it is a problem with the OS update.

Anyone have other ideas? I really need to work!!
