Now that iCloud exists and we can sync our phones with other devices, I'd like to learn an updated answer to the question:
Can someone hack into my notes on my iPhone?
If I make sure that the notes app is not syncing with my laptop, then am I safe to keep some passwords on my phone in notes? Or, how safe is it for me to do that?

If I enable 2-factor authentication (which I dumped last month because I couldn't get the Authenticator app to work) then any passwords that I keep on my phone in notes are safe from everyone who can't physically access my phone and unlock it?
Apple's 2 factor authentication does not use an authenticator app. That's not how it works.
I was using Google authenticator on my iPhone. Is there a different one that you suggest?
