Fake AirPods

There are fake AirPods that are identical now, there were signs before. But Gen2 they got it perfect. So how can I tell if I buy fake AirPods by serial number or otherwise!?

There's always a to tell if a product is the real deal or not. I saw some lighting cords that looked exactly like official Apple cords, but the text on theme did not say "Designed by Apple." For AirPods, check to see if they had any lights on them (official AirPods have no lighting mechanism) and that the text inside the upper lip of the case displays the copyright information from Apple. But the best way to make sure you're getting the real deal is what the people before me have said, by directly from Apple or from an Authorized Reseller.

If they’re a wedding gift (where did that post go?) then you have to accept them as they are I suppose.

Official Apple devices will set up in find my iPhone and in your device list on iCloud. All my devices show their serial numbers in my iCloud account. I don’t have AirPods so I don’t know to check on that
