If you select multiple files in the Finder, and then press the option key while right-clicking on one file, you will see the menu item that says, Copy nn items as Pathnames. This will be on the clipboard.

The finder jams the paths together with a separating newline character. By default, this will paste one path item in Word or Excel, because I believe they are expecting something else.

In Excel, after you have expanded the column appropriately to accept the multiple paths, click once on the first cell to receive this content. Then paste. This should bring up the text/data import panel, and you select separated by Other (leave it blank). This will then populate downwards as many rows as you have paths selected. At least that is how it works in LibreOffice Calc.
