'Copy as filepath' keyboard shortcut doesn't work

So there I was, I selected a file in Finder, I hit the shortcut to copy a filepath but the filepath didn't get copied. I can copy the filepath from the top menu bar but the keyboard shortcut doesn't work.

I checked all the Keyboard shortcuts in System Preferences and there isn't a shortcut with the ⌥⌘C keyboard combo. Please advise whats a lad to do?

Have you tried pasting the copied pathname someplace SIMPLE like Textedit to be sure it is getting collected properly?

Where are you trying to paste the copied pathname?

it may be working fine to copy pathname, but the destination may not accept the pasted text as a pathname.
