Two players in Arcade games

Can two players each using their own controller play multiplayer games in apple arcade on the same device, say apple tv

I have the same question and I can't get an answer from apple support. I think they know there is a problem and won't admit it.

There are games that can have two players using the same system. Here is a Reddit thread which lists games supporting this:

The support document Use Game Center to play with friends - Apple Support refers to multiple players on different devices. I don't see anything that suggests two players can play on the same device but Apple TV can support multiple controllers, so it is potentially possible.
