After getting Catalina upgrade the handoff feature no longer works between my Mac and iPhone. I have enabled the handoff on both devices and logged in with same apple ID. Any idea?

You'll also want to restart your modem or Wi-Fi router.

This is not working for me because resetting permissions doesn't ever complete.
The process is running, but it is somehow idle in the background doing absolutely nothing it seems.
I let it run for about 12h and my Home folder is 280GB in total. I then rebooted the Mac.
Any other idea how I could solve this issue?

Thank you. I followed the permission guide and resolved my issue. I did notice some lagging when pasting, it was faster on Mojave, but at least handoff seems working now.

Thank you! Rebooting the phone ended up solving it. For other people searching, I had first restarted my HomePods also, so that might have contributed to it working finally too.
How long should it take to complete the diskutil resetUserPermissions?
I know it may depend from the amount of data I have in my SSD but ... roughly, how long?
