"utilityData" uses 98% of CPU, what is it?
My old macbook have lately been really slow and is overheating by simply being open. I went into the activity monitor and saw that something called "utilityData" used about 98% of the CPU without even doing anything on the computer. When I quit it the computer was silent and cold for the first time in a while but "utilityData" opened up again and the performance drained immediately. Does someone know what this is and how I should handle it? Currently I have the activity control open at all times and force quit it when it opens up but I would like to have a more long term solution. It is placed under my user and not in the root so therefore I am thinking about creating a new profile.
