Give it another hour or so and then do a forced shutdown and then restart normally and test to see if your data completed.

PLEASE describe the method you used to transfer data from the old Mac. Were you using Wi-Fi, connecting via Thunderbolt, EtherNet, using the Time Machine backup from the old computer etc???? This is critical so please let us know.

NEVER EVER use Wi-Fi, it will fail 100% of the time. Connect the old Mac's Time Machine via a USB cable to the new Mac, then launch Migration Assistant (Applications - Utilities - Migration Assistant) and follow the on-screen prompts. Why this method,....simple answer is it works 100% of the time!

Bought a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter ($49), plugged into my new 2019 iMac in the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) slot. Then plugged my Thunderbolt cable(2m) ($39) into the adapter and into my 2013 iMac (late 2012 model)-Thunderbolt slot.

Followed the Migration assistant (Applications/utilities/migration assistant) . Migration was seamless.
