I have been getting this message on my Mac Pro since I upgraded to Catalina.
“helperamc” will damage your computer. You should move it to the Trash.
It continues to pop up. Has anyone else had this problem?

First question, do you have "helpermac" on your Mac? The new level of security in Catalina may have found a Trojan Horse in you apps. If you do, make sure you remove it and any sub-apps associated with it, and restart.
Thanks for your comment. I stupidly put Advanced Mac Cleaner on my computer. I understand that "helperamc" (this is the way it is spelled in the message) was hidden in that app. I thought I had removed it a while ago. I cannot find it anywhere on my computer.

Just to be safe, I would download a copy of Malwarebytes and run it to make sure there is no other malware on your Mac.
Also, check out AppCleaner which is free and helps uninstall applications.

There have been a number of free app cleaners for Mac, but not sure any are yet for Catalina.
