iPhone 11 Pro Max - Air Bubble

Hi,

I've got an issue of an air bubble under my iPhone 11 Pro Max screen. This is the actual screen. No screen protector fitted, or ever fitted.

I sent it to Apple and they're returning it, unable to find the issue.

It's small, I'll give them that. Probably no more than 10mm across, and can only be seen when the phone is held at a certain angle. It's there, phone on or off. And yes, I tried cleaning the screen, because I did think it was dirt at first.

Apple say there's nothing wrong, but there's still this circle on the screen, annoying me. What can I do? Apple can't seem to see the thing. Can I return it to John Lewis (the online store I bought it from) or do I keep fighting Apple until one of their "Genuises" in their tech centres actually sees the issue. Do I demand a new screen?

I've sent the live support chat pictures, and they think it's an issue, as they keep referring me for repair and been waiting for a phone call that was coming "Momentarily" for a good half hour.

I've had Apple products forever, but honestly, this might be the last straw.

In the end, I had to take mine into the Apple Store as no one else would believe me. As you can see from the first response. There was water on my screen because that part of the screen reacted differently to water than the rest of it.

The Apple Genius said he could count on one hand how many times he'd seen it, and the issue usually occurred on Watches, not iPhones. It was an issue with the coating. He apologised for the way I'd been treated and I had a new screen on my phone within the hour.

If your issue is the same as mine, I recommend taking it to a local Apple Store, and hoping you get someone who knows what you're talking about.

Does it affect the screen when it’s actually on? Dark spot, burned out pixels? If not and it’s only noticeable when the screen is off I don’t think they would do anything as it’s cosmetic. Has it been there since day one? Are you beyond the return exchange period? Because if it was there from day one you should have requested an exchange (sounds like you sent it in under the guise of a warranty swap...perhaps I’m mistaken but if that’s the case and they couldn’t find a functioning issue they would have called it cosmetic and not exchanged under warranty). Also...is that water on your screen? Just curious as to why you took the picture to display the issue with what looks like water from wiping the screen with something damp or not drying it completely.

My iPhone 11 also has the same issue. I bought it a month ago and I'm very careful with this expensive phone, only yesterday I saw same bubbles seemingly inside the screen. And not only one bubble, there's a three-4mm in diameter bubble and around five to six bubbles that are 2mm in diameter scattered across the screen.

This is very disappointing considering this phone is still expensive.

Were you able to have it fixed? Even my iPhone 5s didn't have this issue and that phone is still working.
