I have no problem dialing phone numbers but when I am on a call and I have you use the dial pad to make a selection it doesn't work. For example I can phone my husband at work but when I have dial his extension number it doesn't recognize that I have dailed any numbers.

I have the same problem. The only solution I have found is to press the mute button then I can make the selection then take it off mute. Not ideal but it works.
I am having the same issue with my iPhone 11 Pro, unable to get through the IVR options.
I pressed the mute button while making my number selections and now it works again. 🤷♀️
