Motion to GIF?

There is no direct export as gif function in Motion - you would need compressor for that. If it is something you want to do often, then it is worth the spend

Otherwise, you can export a project as an image sequence and use a gif creation tool to convert the sequence into a gif. Personally, I use giphy capture to do a screen capture directly from within Motion. I scale down the project and record it directly from the screen.

Nope. I recommend the same. Giphy is great.
