QuickTime Recording Lag (LOW FPS)

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 non Touch Bar 13inch. I play Minecraft often, and I do record my gameplay often. I used QuickTime for a few weeks as it was free, easy to use and gave good recording results. All of a sudden my FPS in game while recording went super low (usually 50-60 went to 1-20). I can’t think of anything I’ve done to make this happen. This first occurred on Mojave. I uninstalled the game, tried different recording software (it doesn’t lag as bad but I prefer to use QuickTime), I have tried restarting the MacBook multiple times all with no luck. I updated to Catalina last night and quickly this morning tested it and the lag is still apparent so it can’t be Operating System issues, unless I’m wrong. Also I have CleanMyMac and I’ve cleaned all of my cache files and there is no malware issues.

I’d really appreciate some help with this as I want to be able to record like normal.
