iPhone 11 - issue with phone / headphones - headphones not recognised

Hi,

I have an issue with the headphones provided with my new iphone 11. I've found that the headphones are not recognised while connected - music or podcasts play via the phone's speaker. The headphones that came with my previous iphone 7 plus work fine. I ordered replacement headphones - these also are not recognised by my new phone.

Thanks

Hi there, dmacbroad.

It appears that you're having a problem using the EarPods provided when you purchase a new iPhone. The set that came with your iPhone 11 isn't recognized and sound plays through the speakers. It works just fine using a pair that came with an iPhone 7 Plus, but even a replaced set isn't being seen. With all of the testing you've tried, it's time to contact Apple Support.

Apple - Support - Product Selection — After selecting this link, type "headphones" in the Search topics field and select "Issues with headphones or headphone port". Then choose how you'd like to begin the conversation.

Take care.
