No Internet connection via Ethernet on iPad

I tried connecting an iPhone with a cable to the iPad Pro 11 inch and the Ethernet menu appears in the settings but there is not internet connectivity. I also tried hooking up an Ethernet adapter to the iPad and connected a network cable from my router and also that doesn’t work.


Any one facing this issue? I watched videos on YouTube with people actually using Ethernet.
