Macbook / OSX issues
My MacBook has started to play up. Started with webpages freezing and emails not downloading in Mail. I suspected a NVRAM issue so rebooted this but no luck. I now find I cannot log in to my iTunes account. It seems to accept password, sign in box disappears but then it just hangs. The "For You" page of my Apple Music doesn't load.
I also tried upgrading to Catalina. It seems to have downloaded 10.8Mb at one point then hung. every time I try and update it goes back to this 10.8Mb mark and nothing else happens. I tried downloading from the App Store and thru System Update. Same issue. I then booted in to Safe Mode and reinstalled my Mojave OS hopping it would clear out the gremlins. No luck.
I ran a virus scan and an ArtemisSearch Daemon trojan was found and trashed but looking in Network Monitor I see an ArtemisSearch process running and its receiving GB of packets! Is this causing the issues? I ran CCleaner to clean everything up but still no joy.
I've now ran out of options. Problem "feels" like something has got corrupted resulting in certain web tasks hanging. Can anybody help me out of this hole?
